About Us

In 1817 the original Ebenezer Chapel  in the  old town of Hastings was founded by the Pastor Mr. David Fenner. In 1998 we moved here to St. Leonards where God has greatly blessed us and helped us.

We have a Sunday school at 10:00am each week to which all 5 - 16 year olds are very welcome. We aim to simply teach Bible truths and principles. Our teachers & helpers are all CRB checked.

We keep the New Testament ordinances of believer’s baptism & the Lord’s supper. We practise strict communion which means that only those who have been baptised by immersion and received by us as church members can partake of the Lord’s supper.

What does Ebenezer mean?

The Bible tells us in 1 Samuel 7 v 12

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.
